Our verdict
The Renault Austral E-Tech 2026 (launched 2022, restyled 2024) is Renault's new C-SUV flagship in Morocco. CMF-CD platform shared with the Nissan Qashqai, E-Tech full hybrid powertrain: 1.2 turbo gasoline + 2 electric motors + auto-engaging multi-mode gearbox = 200 hp combined and 4.6 L/100 km mixed. No diesel version, no 4×4 in Morocco.
At this price, the Austral competes with the Volkswagen Tiguan eHybrid (~519k MAD, PHEV), Peugeot 3008 Hybrid (~439k MAD), Hyundai Tucson Hybrid (~409k MAD), and Toyota RAV4 Hybrid (~419k MAD). Strengths: hybrid without external charging (the HEV recharges while driving), optional 4-wheel steering on Iconic (reduces turning circle from 5.1 m to 4.8 m), 12.3" OpenR Link screen with Google Auto, premium cabin (Alpine inserts, optional leather upholstery). Weaknesses: 449k entry ticket = 110k more than diesel Kadjar, multi-mode gearbox can hesitate at low load, boot capacity reduced by hybrid battery (487 L vs 575 L Tucson).

How we calculate
The most accurate used-car estimator in Morocco. Our prices are calibrated on the real Moroccan market: official dealer prices, resale ranges observed on the leading second-hand platforms, brand-by-brand resilience (Toyota, Renault and Dacia hold their value better; German premium drops faster after year 4; Chinese newcomers depreciate faster), a progressive mileage penalty and segment-level variance. Methodology continuously updated.
