Morgan Midsummer Coupé: Ultra-exclusive design by Pininfarina

Morgan continues to sharpen its exclusivity strategy with the Midsummer Coupé, a collaboration with design house Pininfarina. Following the Midsummer Speedster unveiled in spring 2024, here comes the roofed iteration of this prestigious project.

Unmatched exclusivity

The Midsummer Coupé will be limited to just 9 fully bespoke examples. By comparison, the Speedster—already extremely rare—will see 50 units produced. This scarcity underscores Morgan's premium positioning across Morocco and Europe, particularly with the arrival of the Supersport to replace the Plus Six.

Timeless retro design

Unlike the Supersport, which modernizes British maker's design language, the Midsummer Coupé leans firmly into retro territory. Its signature feature: a sloping roofline entirely glazed, bisected by a central ridge that evokes the iconic Morgan Atlantic.

The bonded glass panels serve a structural purpose, reinforcing body rigidity to minimize unwanted weight gain. The penalty remains modest: the Midsummer Coupé is expected to weigh just around 30 kilograms more than the Supersport with hardtop, yet gains a fixed roof, interior light, and functional side windows.

Bespoke interior

The cabin exudes luxury with abundant leather and wood appointments. Morgan will allow each client to personalize colors and materials to taste, reinforcing the bespoke approach these ultra-limited models demand.

Expected powertrain

Morgan has not officially disclosed technical specifications. However, the Midsummer Coupé is expected to use the BMW B58 inline-six engine delivering 340 hp, paired with a ZF 8-speed automatic transmission.

This latest creation positions Morgan as a maker of absolute niche vehicles—particularly compelling for collectors and luxury car enthusiasts in Morocco and across the MENA region.
