Hyundai Tucson 2026 in Morocco — Prices, updates, full specs

What changes for 2026

The 2026 Tucson is the restyled version of the 4th-gen NX4 launched in 2021. Hyundai pushed this facelift far beyond a cosmetic refresh: new front bumper with widened proportions, restyled Parametric Hidden Lights signature (the daytime LEDs integrated into the grille, invisible when off, remain unique on the market), new rear lights as a full-width strip. Inside, the dashboard is fully reworked around a new 12.3" digital cluster and a 12.3" central screen running the Hyundai bluelink system with onboard navigation, OTA updates, and wireless Apple CarPlay / Android Auto.

Materials step up significantly: padded surfaces, foamed plastics above the beltline, soft-touch handle openings. It's a level that objectively rivals the VW Tiguan III at 50,000-100,000 MAD less. The new version also embeds the extended Hyundai SmartSense ADAS pack (adaptive cruise control, emergency braking with pedestrian/cyclist detection, active lane-keeping, active blind-spot warning).

2026 powertrains

Two engines in the Moroccan catalogue, both automatic-only (Hyundai Maroc dropped manuals on this segment). The 1.6 T-GDi petrol (180 hp / 265 Nm, 7DCT gearbox, FWD or HTRAC AWD optional) remains the volume choice with 7.1 L/100 km combined WLTP — expect 8-9 L/100 km in real Moroccan use.

The HEV version (full self-charging hybrid) pairs the 1.6 T-GDi with a 60 hp electric motor for 230 hp combined on a conventional 6-speed automatic. WLTP consumption 5.8 L/100 km, frequent switching to 100% electric at low speed in urban environments — real consumption drops to 5.2-5.5 L/100 km in Casablanca or Rabat. No diesel or PHEV in the Moroccan catalogue for 2026.

Morocco pricing and trims

Three main trims at GBH Motors. Pulse 1.6 T-GDi (359,000 MAD) covers the essentials: 10.25" screen with navigation, dual-zone automatic AC, 17" alloys, rear camera, 6 airbags, and the basic Hyundai SmartSense safety pack.

Premium 1.6 T-GDi (419,000 MAD) adds leather upholstery, heated/ventilated front seats, 12.3" digital cluster, 19" wheels, panoramic sunroof, keyless entry/start, hands-free electric tailgate, and the extended ADAS pack.

Premium HEV (459,000 MAD) takes the Premium kit and adds the hybrid powertrain. At this level, the Tucson Premium HEV stays 60,000-90,000 MAD cheaper than a comparably-equipped VW Tiguan eHybrid.

Warranty and aftersales

The Tucson keeps the longest commercial warranty on the market among generalists: 5 years or 100,000 km, with 8 years / 160,000 km on the hybrid battery. A durable advantage over the Tiguan (3 years VW Group) and even the RAV4 (5 years Toyota but without as strong a battery extension).

GBH Motors runs a dense network of official dealers in Morocco — 18 points at end-2025, including 6 in Casablanca, 3 in Rabat-Salé, 2 in Marrakech, and one each in Agadir, Tanger, Fès, Meknès, Oujda, Tetouan, and Béni Mellal. The aftersales mesh is among the top three in Morocco (with Renault and Toyota).

Our 2026 verdict

The 2026 Tucson is the most balanced C-SUV on the Moroccan market for those who want a modern, well-equipped, reliable and long-warranted product without paying the "German premium". The Parametric Hidden Lights design makes it recognisable at first glance — a durable argument against European stylistic conservatism.

The HEV version deserves priority attention in the 2026 buying decision: in Moroccan use (heavily-used AC, dense urban traffic), the trade-off 5.8 L/100 km vs 7.1 L on the 1.6 T-GDi petrol represents about 35,000 MAD of fuel savings over 100,000 km at 14 MAD/L. The 40,000 MAD price gap between the two versions amortises in 4-5 years for typical urban use.

Frequently asked

What's the price of the Hyundai Tucson 2026 in Morocco?
The Tucson 2026 starts at 359,000 MAD for the Pulse 1.6 T-GDi. Premium 1.6 T-GDi is 419,000 MAD, and Premium HEV (hybrid) is 459,000 MAD. All prices include standard delivery and on-the-road fees; the annual vignette is added at the first renewal (about 3,000 MAD for an 11-14 CV petrol, 0 MAD if you went for a 100% electric vehicle — which the Tucson is not).
Is the Tucson 2026 worth the price gap over the Sportage?
The Tucson and Kia Sportage share the Hyundai-Kia N3 platform, so the mechanicals, chassis, and most interior components are nearly identical. The difference comes down to design (Tucson more distinctive), entry-trim equipment (Tucson Pulse better-equipped than Sportage Lux at a similar price), and aftersales mesh (GBH Motors > Kia Maroc on density). If you're hesitating, the Tucson stays the better pick for warranty + resale value.
Tucson 2026 or VW Tiguan 2026 — which one?
On pure equipment and price, the Tucson Pulse at 359,000 MAD beats the Tiguan Life at 419,000 MAD at comparable kit. On perceived interior quality (materials, ergonomics, fit-and-finish), the Tiguan retakes the lead as you go up the range. On used-car residual value, the Tiguan holds better (~65-70% at 3 years vs ~60-65% for the Tucson). Tucson if equipment/price is your priority; Tiguan if German quality outweighs the 60,000-100,000 MAD gap.
Is the Tucson HEV really economical in Morocco?
Over 100,000 km in mixed Moroccan use (60% urban, 40% motorway), expect about 35,000 MAD of fuel savings vs the 1.6 T-GDi petrol (5.5 L/100 km real vs 8 L/100 km). The 40,000 MAD gap between Premium 1.6 T-GDi and Premium HEV amortises in 4-5 years at average mileage (15-20,000 km/yr). For higher-mileage drivers (>25,000 km/yr, delivery, sales), payback drops to 3 years — the HEV becomes the obvious pick.
How reliable is the Hyundai Tucson NX4 in Morocco so far?
The NX4 (launched 2021) has four years of track record on the Moroccan market by 2026. Workshop reports converge on reliability in the upper-mid of the segment: no systemic defect on the 1.6 T-GDi, stable electronics, consistent build quality. A few minor recalls handled under warranty (ADAS software, tyre pressure sensor). The HEV version being more recent (2022 in Morocco), the data is shorter but with no specific alert.
