The Toyota RAV4 is, since its fourth generation (2013), the SUV that democratised hybrids in Morocco's D-segment. The fifth generation (XA50, 2018+, facelifted 2024) sits on the Toyota Group's TNGA-K platform — the same as the Camry and Lexus NX. Distributed by Toyota du Maroc / Auto Nejma, the RAV4 starts at 419,000 MAD for the Active 2.5 HEV, up to 519,000 MAD for the Lounge 2.5 PHEV AWD-i.
Two powertrains in the Moroccan catalog, both hybrid: the HEV 2.5 naturally-aspirated self-charging full-hybrid (218 combined hp, 4.7 L / 100 km WLTP, no external charging needed) and the RAV4 Plug-in Hybrid (PHEV, 306 combined hp, 75 km of pure electric). Toyota no longer imports a pure-combustion or diesel RAV4 in Morocco — the entire range is electrified.
