Our verdict

The Volvo EX30 2026 (1st generation, launched 2024) is Volvo's most accessible electric B-SUV and the fastest SUV to 100 km/h ever produced by Volvo (3.6 s in Twin Performance). In Morocco, Volvo Car Maroc offers two versions: EX30 Single Motor Extended Range (RWD, 69 kWh usable, 460 km WLTP, 268 hp, 379-429k MAD) and EX30 Twin Motor Performance (AWD, 69 kWh, 428 km range, 428 hp combined, 0-100 in 3.6 s, 449-469k). Three trims: Core, Plus, Ultra. The EX30 takes on the MG4 (~289k+ MAD, RWD hatch), BYD Atto 3 (~339k+, B-SUV EV), Hyundai Kona Electric (~339k+), Renault Megane E-Tech (~449k+, FWD hatchback), and Volkswagen ID.3 (~439k+). The EX30 stands out for: 0-100 km/h in 3.6 s unique in B-SUV (vs MG4 XPower 3.8 s, Megane E-Tech RS expected 6 s), 153 kW DC ultra-fast charging (10-80% in 26 min), pared-back Scandinavian cabin (100% recycled or bio-sourced materials on all versions), Geely China plant build — Volvo-controlled quality. Weaknesses: cabin so pared-back as to remove the driver's binnacle (all info on the central screen) — disorienting for accustomed drivers, 318 L boot (small for an SUV), 175 mm ground clearance decent but below the XC40. Target: early EV adopter wanting the Volvo brand, Casablanca-Rabat young executive with home charger.

How we calculate

The most accurate used-car estimator in Morocco. Our prices are calibrated on the real Moroccan market: official dealer prices, resale ranges observed on the leading second-hand platforms, brand-by-brand resilience (Toyota, Renault and Dacia hold their value better; German premium drops faster after year 4; Chinese newcomers depreciate faster), a progressive mileage penalty and segment-level variance. Methodology continuously updated.

Frequently asked

How much does the Volvo EX30 cost in Morocco in 2026?
EX30 Single Motor Extended Range RWD starts at 379,000 MAD (Core), 409,000 (Plus), 429,000 (Ultra). EX30 Twin Motor Performance AWD at 449,000-469,000 (Plus / Ultra). Volvo Car Maroc 2026 prices, excluding options and registration.
EX30 Twin Performance or MG4 XPower — which to pick?
The MG4 XPower (359k MAD) is 90-110k cheaper, 800V platform (faster charging), pure RWD propulsion (vs AWD EX30). The EX30 Twin (449-469k) wins on Volvo brand (better expected resale), AWD (safety in rain/snow), 0-100 in 3.6 s vs 3.8 s, Scandinavian assembly quality (vs Chinese MG4). Verdict: MG4 XPower if you value price and RWD; EX30 Twin if you value brand, AWD and assembly quality.
EX30: 460 km range — is that real in Moroccan use?
Our estimate in real Moroccan cycle (35 °C, AC, Casa urban + motorway mix): EX30 Single Motor 69 kWh = 340-380 km real range (vs 460 km WLTP); EX30 Twin Performance 69 kWh = 300-340 km (more powerful AWD drivetrain consumes more). In gentle urban cycle at 22 °C: WLTP values reachable (460 / 428 km). 153 kW DC charging at Total Energies (Casa, Tangier, Rabat, Marrakech): 10-80% in 26 min.
Why does the EX30 have no driver's binnacle?
Radical Volvo design choice: all indicators (speed, range, ADAS) are displayed on the 12.3-inch central touchscreen placed on the centre console, in front of the driver. No second screen on the steering column. Advantage: very pared-back cabin, the EX30 shares this logic with the Tesla Model 3 (since 2017). Drawback: disorienting for drivers used to a classic binnacle, and a slightly off-axis glance to read speed when driving. Volvo justified this choice by future autonomous-driving optimisation and ergonomic simplification.
