The Toyota Yaris is, in the B-segment, the first mainstream supermini to offer a self-charging full-hybrid powertrain since its fourth generation (XP210, 2020+, facelifted 2024). Distributed by Toyota du Maroc / Auto Nejma, it starts at 209,000 MAD for the Active 1.5 HEV and rises to 259,000 MAD for the GR Sport.
Essential note: Toyota Maroc only sells the hybrid version of the Yaris in 2026 — no 1.0 petrol or pure 1.5 petrol. The 1.5 HEV powertrain (3-cylinder petrol N/A 92 hp + 80 hp electric motor + small 0.76 kWh battery, 116 combined hp total) is shared with the Yaris Cross. e-CVT gearbox (continuously variable transmission with electric management) for smooth driving suited to urban traffic.
Fuel consumption: 4.0 L / 100 km on the combined WLTP cycle, the lowest in Morocco's entire B-segment — Clio E-Tech 145 at 4.3 L, 208 PureTech 100 at 5.4 L, i20 N/A at 5.4 L. In Moroccan urban use, the Yaris HEV frequently switches to 100% electric at low speeds and restarts, making its consumption advantage even more pronounced in traffic.
