Dacia Morocco is pushing back on the compact SUV market with a revamped Bigster lineup, featuring reduced prices and added equipment. The move comes as new competitors, particularly Chinese brands, have raised the stakes with aggressive offers.
Streamlined Lineup, Three Trims
The restructuring begins with a shift in the range. Dacia moves away from a four-tier structure to offer just three levels: Essential, Expression, and Journey. This focused approach lets the brand better target its customers and sharpen its market positioning.
Journey as Tech Flagship
The emphasis falls on the Journey trim, anchoring the Bigster's upper tier as the brand's technological showcase. This version includes standard equipment such as:
- Panoramic sunroof
- Bi-tone paint
- Parking pack: Multiview camera, front and side sensors, blind-spot monitoring
- Media Display system with touchscreen and smartphone integration
- Arkamys 3D audio system
- Wireless phone charging
- Powered tailgate
- Hands-free smart card
This package brings the Bigster into line with rivals increasingly loaded with modern conveniences.
Engine Lineup Unchanged
Under the hood, two proven options remain:
- 1.5 dCi Blue 115 hp – for high-mileage drivers prioritizing range and low running costs
- Hybrid 155 hp – emphasizing versatility and efficiency for urban and suburban driving
Revised Pricing
The real shift lies in price strategy. Dacia has recut its entire range with savings across the board:
Diesel 1.5 dCi:
- Essential: 254,500 MAD
- Expression: 265,500 MAD
- Journey: 292,500 MAD
Hybrid 155 hp:
- Expression: 283,000 MAD
- Journey: 310,000 MAD
Entry-Level Promotion
A current promotional offer grants access to the Essential Diesel trim from 245,000 MAD, representing a 10,000 MAD saving off the revised list price. This aggressive pricing underscores Dacia's intent to hold its ground in a segment increasingly contested within Morocco.
With this refresh, the Bigster embarks on a new chapter, equipped to face unrelenting competition in one of Morocco's most dynamic vehicle segments.
