This heavily modified Lamborghini tractor sells for more than a brand-new Revuelto

A 1960s Lamborghini DLA35 tractor rebuilt as a steampunk hot rod is heading to auction — at a price that tops a new Revuelto.

Modified Lamborghini DLA35 tractor with handcrafted steampunk metal bodywork and oversized rear wheels

36 hp priced above 1,015 hp — only in the collector world

On paper, it makes no sense. A vintage Lamborghini diesel tractor, hand-built into a steampunk agricultural hot rod, is currently heading to auction in the United Kingdom with bids expected to exceed the price of a brand-new Lamborghini Revuelto. To put that in perspective for Moroccan enthusiasts: we're talking a figure in the region of 20 million Moroccan dirhams — enough to park something extraordinary in your Casablanca or Marrakech garage, or indeed buy the garage itself.

Before the supercars, there were tractors

Before Ferruccio Lamborghini became the man behind some of the world's most desirable supercars, he built farm equipment. The Centenario Tractor project pays direct homage to that agricultural heritage, created to mark the 100th anniversary of Ferruccio's birth.

The build starts with a genuine Lamborghini DLA35 from the 1960s, keeping its original 2.2-litre three-cylinder diesel engine and manual gearbox completely intact. Output: a humble 36 hp. Yes, a Dacia Spring — widely available across Moroccan dealerships — would likely beat it up a hill. But raw performance was never the point here.

A rolling sculpture, not a working machine

What makes this machine genuinely remarkable is its visual transformation. The bodywork was crafted entirely by hand, dropping the tractor low to the ground in classic hot rod fashion. Two seats are tucked between enormous rear wheels, surrounded by deliberately raw, unfinished metal panels designed to develop a natural patina over time — a defining feature of the steampunk custom aesthetic.

The result is somewhere between an art installation and a driveable object. It draws heavily on the same craftsmanship culture that inspires custom builders in places like Casablanca's growing car culture scene.

Ultra-limited: just 5 units ever built

The Centenario Tractor was born from a collaboration between Italian designer Adler Capelli and German Lamborghini collectors Klima Lounge, with only five examples produced starting in 2016. The unit currently at auction shows just 500 km on the clock — surprisingly high, some might argue, for a piece that was always destined to be a showpiece.

This is clearly not a daily driver or a practical purchase. It's a museum-grade conversation piece for a serious collector. For Moroccan Lamborghini fans — and there are plenty, from Urus owners to Huracán drivers — it represents a unique slice of the brand's pre-supercar DNA.
