About Tesla
Tesla, Inc. (Palo Alto, California, 2003 — Elon Musk since 2004) is the maker that democratised the premium electric car — the 2012 Model S proved an electric sedan could beat German ICE on performance and range, and the Model 3 (2017) then Model Y (2020) became the world's best-selling electric cars (Model Y = global best-seller 2023 across all categories).
