Our methodology for Lexus
For every Lexus model, we start from the official new price published by the Moroccan importer, then apply a depreciation curve calibrated against the European and Moroccan markets — 80% at 1 year, 70% at 2 years, 62% at 3 years, down to 22% at 10 years. The result is then adjusted by declared mileage (progressive penalty per 10,000 km band).
We show the median (price expected on a standard-condition vehicle) and the p25–p75 range: p25 = what a buyer would pay on a high-mileage or average-condition vehicle, p75 = what we see on first-owner vehicles with a complete service history. You get an honest range, not a single number you could overpay or undersell on.
Lexus on the Moroccan used-car market
Lexus is Toyota Motor Corporation's premium brand, founded in 1989 in the USA to challenge Mercedes/BMW/Audi with a Japanese approach: maximum quality-reliability + world hybrid leader + "Lexus Experience" customer service. In Morocco, the brand is distributed by Lexus Maroc / Auto Nejma (sister company to Toyota du Maroc — Auto Nejma is the historical Toyota+Lexus distributor since 1968) with 3 dedicated Lexus dealerships (Casablanca Aïn Sebaâ, Rabat Hay Riad, Marrakech Avenue Mohammed VI). Lexus in Morocco accounts for about 3-4% of the premium market (vs Mercedes 35%, BMW 28%, Audi 18% — Lexus remains niche but with exceptional resale ~65-68% at 3 years, the best in MA premium market). The lineup spans five families: hybrid compacts (UX, LBX), hybrid sedans (IS, ES, LS), hybrid SUVs (NX, RX, GX, LX, LBX), F Sport hybrid performance (RC, LC), and 100% electric (RZ, UX 300e). Nearly all Lexus sold in Morocco are full-HEV or PHEV hybrids — Lexus was the world's first manufacturer to launch a hybrid SUV with the 2005 RX 400h, and Toyota's 5th-gen Hybrid Synergy Drive system powers every 2024+ Lexus. Lexus 3-year resale is exceptional (~65% vs Mercedes 62%, BMW 58%), supported by Toyota reliability and used-market rarity (few Lexus circulating in Morocco).
