Our methodology for JAC

For every JAC model, we start from the official new price published by the Moroccan importer, then apply a depreciation curve calibrated against the European and Moroccan markets — 80% at 1 year, 70% at 2 years, 62% at 3 years, down to 22% at 10 years. The result is then adjusted by declared mileage (progressive penalty per 10,000 km band).

We show the median (price expected on a standard-condition vehicle) and the p25–p75 range: p25 = what a buyer would pay on a high-mileage or average-condition vehicle, p75 = what we see on first-owner vehicles with a complete service history. You get an honest range, not a single number you could overpay or undersell on.

JAC on the Moroccan used-car market

JAC Motors (Anhui Jianghuai Automobile, Hefei, China — founded 1964) is one of China's oldest carmakers, long state-owned and today controlled by the Anhui provincial group, backed since 2020 by Volkswagen and since 2023 by Huawei (JAC is the industrial partner of the Luxeed HIMA brand). Historically strong in light commercial vehicles and pickups, JAC has been shifting since 2018 toward mainstream SUVs, which now account for more than 60% of its global volumes. In Morocco, JAC has been distributed since 2023 by Auto Nejma — the automotive arm of Groupe Akwa — one of the market's most solid importers (Mercedes-Benz, MG, Bentley, DFSK). That industrial anchoring changes the equation versus isolated Chinese brands: a national dealer network already in place (Casablanca, Rabat, Tangier, Marrakech, Agadir, Fes, Oujda), parts available within 72 h on average, a 5-year / 100,000 km manufacturer warranty fully underwritten by Auto Nejma. The 2026 MA lineup is structured around three pillars: JS3 (subcompact urban SUV, volume core), JS4 (compact family SUV, one size up) and T8 (double-cab 2.0 diesel pickup aimed at professionals and small businesses). Clear positioning: offer the equipment of a Hyundai or Peugeot 15-25% cheaper, with the safety of a recognised distributor — at the cost of weaker used-market value (25-30% first-year depreciation, typical of recent Chinese brands in Morocco) and a still-short local reliability track record.
