Our methodology for Cupra
For every Cupra model, we start from the official new price published by the Moroccan importer, then apply a depreciation curve calibrated against the European and Moroccan markets — 80% at 1 year, 70% at 2 years, 62% at 3 years, down to 22% at 10 years. The result is then adjusted by declared mileage (progressive penalty per 10,000 km band).
We show the median (price expected on a standard-condition vehicle) and the p25–p75 range: p25 = what a buyer would pay on a high-mileage or average-condition vehicle, p75 = what we see on first-owner vehicles with a complete service history. You get an honest range, not a single number you could overpay or undersell on.
Cupra on the Moroccan used-car market
Cupra (Martorell, 2018 — initially SEAT's performance department, spun off as a standalone brand) is Volkswagen Group's performance brand targeting a young, urban audience. Cupra shares technical platforms with SEAT, VW, Škoda, Audi (MQB Evo, MEB) while developing its distinctive visual identity: tribal copper emblem (vs SEAT's silver), more aggressive design, sport interior finishes (Cupra bucket seats). In Morocco, Cupra is distributed by Centrale Automobile Chérifienne (CAC) — Cupra Maroc (subsidiary of the group historically importing SEAT in Morocco, now focused on Cupra+SEAT) — through 3 main dealerships (Casablanca Aïn Sebaâ flagship, Rabat Hay Riad, Tangier) plus 2 authorised workshops in Marrakech and Agadir. The 2026 MA lineup spans four models: Born (100% electric compact, MEB platform shared with VW ID.3), Formentor (C-SUV crossover, 1.5 TSI mild-hybrid or PHEV or e-Hybrid VZ), Leon (compact, Audi A3 / VW Golf sister, mild-hybrid or PHEV), and Tavascan (premium electric C-SUV, MEB platform). Cupra in Morocco positions itself on three pillars: VW Group performance at sub-Audi prices, distinctive copper design, young executive 28-40 year-old Casablanca-Rabat audience.
