Audi has pulled back the curtain on the Q9's interior, its debut full-size luxury SUV. Ahead of the complete reveal scheduled for summer 2026, the German automaker details a cabin designed around space, comfort, and cutting-edge technology.
Flexible seating for seven occupants
The Q9 will offer a seven-seat configuration plus a six-seat variant with dual electric individual seats in the second row. Front seats include ventilation and massage functions. The third row remains easily accessible through wide-opening doors, and backrests fold electrically and independently to create a flat cargo floor.
Electric doors: An Audi first
The Q9 introduces fully electric doors, a first for Audi. Open and close commands come via the key fob, myAudi app, MMI display, brake pedal, or even the seatbelt loop. Obstacle sensors detect hazards nearby to prevent door-strike accidents in tight spaces—particularly useful in crowded Moroccan urban conditions.
Intelligent panoramic roof
The Q9 comes standard with a 1.5 m² panoramic roof where nine independent segments control opacity. The laminated glass filters over 99.5% of UV rays and infrared radiation—a valuable feature under Morocco's Mediterranean sun. The roof automatically darkens when parked to reduce interior heat, then returns to your last setting when you restart.
Ambient lighting and premium audio
The cabin integrates multiple LED lighting systems across the dashboard, doors, and center console. An Interaction Light strip runs through the cabin, offering 84 LEDs and 30 ambient colors on top models.
Audi pairs this design with a Bang & Olufsen 4D audio system: speakers embedded in headrests and actuators in front seats sync vibrations with your music, creating a immersive listening experience.
Fast charging and smart storage
The interior features two Qi2.2 wireless chargers and USB-C ports delivering up to 100 watts for rapid device charging.
The cargo area uses an aluminum rail system with sliding hooks and adjustable anchors to secure your load. A roof rack comes as standard.
Market outlook and timeline
While the Q9's silhouette is undeniably massive, its availability in Morocco remains uncertain—ultra-luxury SUVs of this scale see limited demand locally. Complete technical specs and pricing will arrive alongside the summer 2026 world debut.
