Our methodology for Opel
For every Opel model, we start from the official new price published by the Moroccan importer, then apply a depreciation curve calibrated against the European and Moroccan markets — 80% at 1 year, 70% at 2 years, 62% at 3 years, down to 22% at 10 years. The result is then adjusted by declared mileage (progressive penalty per 10,000 km band).
We show the median (price expected on a standard-condition vehicle) and the p25–p75 range: p25 = what a buyer would pay on a high-mileage or average-condition vehicle, p75 = what we see on first-owner vehicles with a complete service history. You get an honest range, not a single number you could overpay or undersell on.
Opel on the Moroccan used-car market
Opel is Germany's oldest passenger-car maker (Adam Opel, Rüsselsheim, 1862 — initially sewing machines, then cars from 1899). Sold to PSA in 2017 and integrated into Stellantis in 2021, Opel now shares platforms with Peugeot, Citroën, DS and Fiat — while keeping its Vizor visual identity (black-visor grille) and German engineering (Rüsselsheim R&D centre). In Morocco, the brand is distributed by Sopriam — the same importer as Peugeot, Citroën, Škoda, Fiat, Jeep and DS — through shared Stellantis MA dealerships. The 2026 MA lineup spans five models: the Corsa (B-segment, more affordable than its 208 sister), the Mokka (B-SUV, common platform with the 2008), the Astra (compact, common platform with the 308), the Grandland (C-SUV, common platform with the 3008 / C5 Aircross), and the Combo Life (ludospace, Berlingo / Rifter twin). In the Kingdom, Opel positions itself as the affordable German alternative to VW — same equipment and perceived assembly quality, prices 8-12% lower.
