Our methodology for MG

For every MG model, we start from the official new price published by the Moroccan importer, then apply a depreciation curve calibrated against the European and Moroccan markets — 80% at 1 year, 70% at 2 years, 62% at 3 years, down to 22% at 10 years. The result is then adjusted by declared mileage (progressive penalty per 10,000 km band).

We show the median (price expected on a standard-condition vehicle) and the p25–p75 range: p25 = what a buyer would pay on a high-mileage or average-condition vehicle, p75 = what we see on first-owner vehicles with a complete service history. You get an honest range, not a single number you could overpay or undersell on.

MG on the Moroccan used-car market

MG (Morris Garages) is a British brand founded in 1924 in Oxford, famous for its post-war roadsters. Acquired by Chinese group SAIC Motor (China's largest carmaker) in 2007, the brand was entirely repositioned on electric and hybrid. MG arrived in Morocco in late 2022, distributed by Auto Hall MG — the same group as Mercedes-Benz Maroc — through a still-growing network of around ten dealerships (Casablanca Aïn Sebaâ, Rabat, Tangier, Marrakech, Agadir, Fes, Oujda, Tetouan). The 2026 lineup spans five models across five different segments: MG3 Hybrid+ (B-segment hatchback full hybrid, ~165k MAD, takes on the Yaris HEV), ZS Hybrid+ (B-SUV hybrid, ~199k, takes on the Captur), HS PHEV (C-SUV plug-in hybrid, ~289k, takes on the Tucson PHEV), MG4 EV (compact RWD electric, ~289k, takes on the Megane E-Tech), Marvel R (D-SUV 7-seater electric, ~419k). Value proposition: European equipment + Chinese tech + 8-year battery warranty + price 15-20% below the European or Japanese equivalent. MG sales in Morocco tripled between 2024 and 2026.
