Our methodology for Geely
For every Geely model, we start from the official new price published by the Moroccan importer, then apply a depreciation curve calibrated against the European and Moroccan markets — 80% at 1 year, 70% at 2 years, 62% at 3 years, down to 22% at 10 years. The result is then adjusted by declared mileage (progressive penalty per 10,000 km band).
We show the median (price expected on a standard-condition vehicle) and the p25–p75 range: p25 = what a buyer would pay on a high-mileage or average-condition vehicle, p75 = what we see on first-owner vehicles with a complete service history. You get an honest range, not a single number you could overpay or undersell on.
Geely on the Moroccan used-car market
Geely Holding Group (Hangzhou, China, 1986 — cars from 1997) is China's largest private automotive group and #4 globally — owner of Volvo Cars (since 2010), Lotus (2017), Polestar (50/50 with Volvo, 2017), Smart (50/50 with Mercedes, 2020), plus Daimler / Aston Martin holdings. The eponymous Geely Auto brand positions itself in mainstream/value with massive technology transfer from Volvo (CMA platform of Volvo XC40 = base for Geely Lynk & Co and Coolray). In Morocco, Geely is distributed by Scandinavia Auto / Geely Maroc — same importer group as Volvo (technical and service synergy) — through 4 main dealerships (Casablanca Aïn Sebaâ, Rabat, Tangier, Marrakech) and authorised workshops in Agadir, Fes, Oujda. The 2026 MA lineup spans five models: Coolray (B-SUV, Volvo CMA platform, 1.5 TSI 177 hp drivetrain), Tugella (sporty coupé C-SUV, 2.0 turbo 238 hp), Atlas Pro (family C-SUV, 48V mild-hybrid), Geometry C (100% electric compact, 400 km range), and EX5 (premium electric C-SUV, Q3 2026 launch). Geely positions itself in Morocco on three axes: Volvo tech in Chinese form (the Coolray literally uses the XC40 platform — Volvo safety + Chinese price), prices 20-30% below European equivalents, 7-year / 200,000 km warranty standard.
