T-Roc Gets a Major Overhaul

Volkswagen's T-Roc undergoes a significant transformation in 2026. The 2.0 TDI diesel engine that drove the previous generation's success in Morocco is now history. The new T-Roc embraces a definitive shift to a 1.4 TSI petrol engine rated at 150 hp—a bold strategic move in a Moroccan market where diesel still commands strong preference. This evolution comes as the T-Roc exceeded 3,600 registrations in Morocco during 2025, proving the German urban SUV's appeal to Moroccan drivers.

Dynamic Coupe SUV Design

The new T-Roc draws inspiration from the coupe SUV trend, with a sweeping roofline toward the rear, muscular flanks, and widened wheel arches. Up front, a new hexagonal grille with honeycomb pattern frames standard LED Plus headlights. Style and R-Line variants step up with sophisticated IQ.Light Matrix LED headlights paired with an illuminated Volkswagen badge that sharpens visual identity. At the rear, a full-width light bar modernizes the design language. Alloy wheels from 17 to 19 inches (depending on trim), aluminum roof bars—the T-Roc now projects sportier, more assertive presence.

Interior Goes Digital

The cabin transforms with the arrival of the Digital Cockpit Pro and a 12.9-inch central display, which completely reshape the driving experience. This fluid, intuitive interface brings the IDA voice assistant, wireless charging, and enhanced smartphone compatibility.

Volkswagen elevates the ambiance with refined materials, customizable ambient lighting, and three-zone automatic climate control. Style and R-Line grades add heated and massaging seats, sophisticated upholstery, and Harman Kardon premium audio. The boot remains spacious: 475 litres standard, 1,350 litres with rear seats folded. Top grades benefit from a hands-free Easy Open & Close system.

Petrol Engine: Performance and Efficiency

The 1.4 TSI paired with an 8-speed automatic transmission delivers impressive fluidity both in town and on highways. Top speed: 209 km/h, combined fuel consumption: 5.5 L/100 km as stated. A significant tax advantage: just 8 fiscal horsepower, lowering registration costs in Morocco.

Moroccan Pricing

Three trim levels are available:

  • Carat: 389,000 MAD
  • Style: 435,000 MAD
  • R-Line: 475,000 MAD

The 2026 T-Roc represents a clear step up in refinement, sharpened design, advanced in-cabin technology, and a determined move toward petrol power—while retaining the practical versatility and urban positioning that won over Moroccan buyers.
